Scheurich 485-26 West German pottery vase, Fat Lava era. Amsterdam/Onion jug. Ceramic 1960s/1970s vintage/retro, Germany. Tan sandy pitcher

A fab glossy tan-coloured cylinder vase by Scheurich Keramik, West Germany. Known as the Amsterdam or Onion design, this is the pitcher jug version with a neat round top handle. Dating from the 'fat lava' 1960s/1970s era, this is lush glossy sandy toffee tones. Three dimensional onion shaped op-art patterns with glossy dark brown inside.

The shape is 485-26... 26 denoting 26cm tall (well, slightly taller). 11cm wide cylinder. Fully stamped to base. Perfect size for a decent bunch of flowers. Mid Century Modern and retro in styling - perfect statement for your sideboard, to add to an Onions collection or even as a floor vase (it's quite a big statement).

Very good vintage condition with minimal signs of its age. Please see photos.
