Walter Bosse style vintage Russian Hedgehogs. Set of five cast aluminium metal stacking ashtrays. Soviet 60s/70s family. Black/silver retro

A super set of five Walter Bosse style vintage stacking metal hedgehogs.
Designed by Walter Bosse in the 50's these most likely a Russian copy/interpretation, probably 1960's. (The design was not copyrighted). There's no determining or distinctive logo to the bases, there's a circular mark where a logo should be. The Greek versions were cruder, so I do think these are Russian - they're nicely made. They're a lovely monotone black and dark silver colouring.

This aluminum set was produced as a promotional giveaway for an airline (possibly Aeroflot) as well as Russian Souvenirs. Cast metal - a blackened aluminum, black shiny inners, polished dark silver areas - spines, noses, feet etc. Details in the casting on the spines, eyes, ears etc, see close up photos. Intended as a set of ashtrays, but more ornamental and for display.

Stacked - 11.5 x 6.5 x 7cm. 540g.
Price includes P&P to the UK.

Just adorable!
A nice collectable set in particularly good condition, very clean black inners, nicely made with detail in the casting and polished edges - they display really well.
