A fabulous and hard to find seated cat sculpture by artist Willy Ceysens, Belgium, and dating from the mid century 1960/1970s. He's solid cast aluminium with simplified features, all in a brutalist and modernist style. You can just see the artist's cast initials CW to his lower back.
A medium sized 17cm tall x 10cm wide x 5cm deep. Very good condition, pretty much as intended with the cast metal finish. He is a silvery pewter grey and weighs a good 1.2kg. He has remnants of the old felt base underneath.
Perfect for a minimalist, modernist or retro styled home, and a great addition to a cat collection.
