A lovely simple tapered chimney vase, designed by Geoffrey Baxter for British firm Whitefriars, pattern number 9655. This one is the mid sized version, just over 7.5" tall. It's cased in clear glass with a solid clear base. Fairly petite - would hold up to half a dozen slim stems. Ruby Red colourway is apx mid 1960s to mid 1970s, so of that retro era. Beautiful simple minimalist design with a softened polished rim.
19.8cm tall, 4.5cm base, 2.7cm inner rim. Very good condition. It has no chips, cracks, fleabites; one tiny minimal mark. A few internal bubbles. Base has been finished off like a spiral. I'd give it 9/10... perfect as a gift and for display.
