A classic Whitefriars Glass 'hambone' art glass vase, model number 9656. The design dates from the late 1960s up until 1980. It has distinctive wide bottom and thick oval rim (but wider and heavier than 9657). This Kingfisher Blue version dates roughly from 1968 to 1974.
Kingfisher is a vibrant cyan or rich turquoise blue colour and is cased in clear; it's heavy for the size (weighs 840g). Flat polished oval rim and base, with distinctive fat flared wide bottom, narrower sideways on: 5.5" tall (14 x 11.5 x 5cm). 
Very nice collector's condition with great rim and base - a great displayable example. Nicely made with some natural teeny internal bubbles as you'd expect for handmade mouth blown glass.
