A lovely bright turquoise bark textured vase by Geoffrey Baxter. It appeared in the Whitefriars catalogues from the late 1960s to early 1970s (before the shape changed slightly). It's petite at just shy of 6" and 3.5cm diameter, so big enough for a few stems if used. Whitefriars - British quality mouth blown moulded art glass. Slightly tapering cylinder vase, cased in clear glass. 'Fire softened' rim, rather than flat, so an earlier version of the design.
14.5cm tall x 3.5cm rim x 4.4cm base. Very good condition, there's a dot and two microscopic lines to the rim. No chips or nibbles.
