A fab straight-sided spotted 6" art glass vase by Whitefriars, England. This one is the 9702 art glass vase in Kingfisher Blue with green spots. Designed by Geoffrey Baxter and produced for a few years from about 1969 to 1971.
Distinctive Kingfisher Blue (cyan, turquoise) inner with six random dark green applied spots. Handmade/mouth blown, it's a cylinder shape with tapered in base and flat polished rim.
Very good condition. Very clean and displayable. Two really tiny white dot fleabites to the outer rim, see photos. The applied green spots have teeny bubbles which look like scratches or flaws, but this is all from manufacture and part of the production process. A few natural bubbles. Overall very good. A lovely chunk of retro mid century coloured art glass!
15.3cm tall or 6 inches tall x 11cm wide rim. Please check all photos.
