A fab distinctive Tangerine orange 'bark' textured vase by Geoffrey Baxter for Whitefriars, England. The design appeared in the Whitefriars catalogues from about 1967-1980, with Tangerine available for six years from 1968-1974. 
19cm tall, or 7.5" - so the Medium version from the range. 8cm (max) wide at rim. Cylinder shaped, cased in clear glass at the base. Weighs over 1kg. Mouth blown into a mould.
Very good vintage condition. It has got a small chip/graze to a lower extremity which you can feel rather than see as it blends in. Base shows some minimal signs of its age, very good rim. Stunning on display, perfect for that MCM teak sideboard. The Tangerine colour way is so vibrant!
