A fabulous retro Indigo 'bark' textured art glass vase by Geoffrey Baxter for Whitefriars, England. 
Indigo was short lived from 1965 to 1967, just as the textured ranges started being produced in 1967. So probably dating quite precisely from about 1967. Mouth blown in to a mould, handmade. It's a gorgeous midnight dusky dark blue, highly bark textured with rounded soft rim. 
15cm tall, or around 6". 7cm widest (ish), cylinder shaped. Cased in clear flint glass. Typical Whitefriars pontil. Weighs 770g - nice thick glass.
Excellent vintage collectable condition! Stunning on display... No chips or water marks and minimal signs of use. Base shows some signs of age you'd expect for era.
