I believe this is a ZBS (Zelezny Brod Sklo) art glass fish figurine. Designed by Miloslav Janku, Czechoslovakia, and circa 1970s vintage. He's a minimalist and simplified design, yet perfectly formed and recognisable - probably a marlin or swordfish. He has indented eyes, a central bubble and a flat polished base. Skilfully mouth blown and hand made by an artist. Janku made a series of simple elegant glass animals but I can't find a log of this fishy fellow. This example is a pale lilac or mauve colour - Alexandrite colouring and content (aka Neodymium), this means it is colouring changing in different lights. It is pale purple mauve in natural light, and cold blue under a flourescent light (I've no flourescents to demonstrate this). A high quality Bohemian sculpture in very good condition. No chips, one fine scratch, shown, and a very small rough area around the baseline, also shown. 24cm long x 10cm tall x 4.5cm deep. Includes P&P to the UK.
