A huge and striking zingy orange and beige 'fat lava' bowl by Dumler and Breiden, West Germany. Circa 1960s to 1970s era, it's model no 200/131. It maintains part of its original vintage paper sticker, see pics.
It has a central glossy dripping orange with matt brown striped panel. Above and below is beige/taupe and brown striped glaze over textured incised rows of shapes (Bitossi style), with some fat lava bubbles and drips. It's a large centrepiece size, a big fruit bowl, a statement. Outer edges are plain taupe/beige.
Very good vintage condition with no chips. It does have some surface marks, mostly on the lighter colour glazes and inside the middle. A manufacturing flaw to the rim (imperfection). There are two holes to the baseline for wall-mounting the bowl, if required. Please see all pictures.
A sizeable 9.8 tall x 30.2cm diameter, foot is 13.5cm wide. Stamped to base with '200 31'.
Free P&P to the UK. It will come by courier due to the weight/size.
