A fantastic and unusual brown Empoli ornamental bottle. Vintage, circa 1970s, from Empoli, Italy. It's by Stelvia and the design is by Wayne Husted from Blenko Glass. It has been mouth blown into a mould and the relief image is a simple flower motif to one side. (The Blenko version has two leaves and the Empoli version has three leaves). It's brown with some lighter swirls of dark toffee amber. It comes with its original ball top, with original plastic stopper.
Very good vintage condition with very small signs of age. It has some rough nibbles inside the rim, see pictures. Some ripples to the glass and moulding lines from being formed. Stopper is very good, a split to the plastic as is common. The brown varies in darkness. It's a retro statement, perfect for a mid-century modern teak sideboard and for an Empoli collection... displays very well.
Bottle is 27cm x 13.5 x 6cm. With stopper it's 36.5cm tall (7.5cm diameter ball).
