A striking and fabulous mid century deep blue vase by Scheurich, West Germany. It is an iconic design by Heinz Siery in the late 1950s, so circa 1960s. It is model no 271-22 (22 denoting 22cm tall). It's a glossy liquid streaky blue - varying from Royal to deep Navy/Midnight blue with a few streaks of lighter sky blue. It has a pointy ornamental handle and pointed narrow rim. Would hold about three to four stems if you were to use it as a flower vase.
Good condition with no chips. A scratch to one side, shown. 23cm tall x 9.cm diameter max. Inner rim 2.5cm wide.
Would look amazing in a blue West German vase collection. Great for a collector.
