A vintage pottery vase by Scheurich Keramik, West Germany, dating from the 1960s or 1970s 'fat lava' era. This vintage pottery vase is glossy red with a blue rim, and has been hand painted with a blue berry design, with greeny yellow leaves and black outlines. It's smooth and glossy and the design is both sides.
It tapers in slightly towards the rounded rim, a typical simple Scheurich shape. Mid Century Modern and retro in styling - perfect statement for your teak shelving and to add to a collection. Great size for a bunch of flowers, and a decent enough size to use as a floor vase.
The shape is 549-21... 21 denoting 21cm tall. 11.5cm wide max. Inside rim is 6cm wide. Stamped to the base with the model number '549-21' and 'W.Germany'.
Excellent condition with no chips. Please see photos showing decor, colour and condition. There's a bubble of missing pottery on the baseline from time of manufacture.
Price includes P&P to the UK.
