An unused vintage Robert Welch 'owl' String Dispenser, from the Victor Cast Ware range, British made.
Designed in 1990, this is probably from that 90s era. It comes in its original box and is unused. It includes its original trussing string in its original wrapper. To the top of the owl shape to one side is a steel blade for cutting the cord. Made from solid cast iron, enamel coated in navy blue in the shape of a stylised owl. Internally it has a screw mechanism for fitting rolls of string (I've not undone it or looked).
Stamped to the base with 'Victor England. R. Welch design', and the base has three little rubber feet to protect your worktop. 14cm tall x 7.2cm wide. Heavy and sturdy solid cast iron, it's design ref no RW920.
Excellent unused condition in original box. Perfect as a prop for a retro blue kitchen, greenhouse, conservatory, office etc.
