A fabulous and mysterious retro plastic organiser, made by 'M3M', which I believe is vintage Soviet CCCP. Circa 1960s to 1970s.
The embossed writing within the lid reads "54 M3M UEHA 1P. 50K." - meaning it cost them 1 Rouble and 50 Kopek to make and that was the price it had to be sold for to prevent profiteering and contraband. The printing on the base also looks and feels Soviet.
It's a series of four rotating round hard plastic or melamine trays with a central steel rod. They're alternating red and white, with a white lid and a black base. Each tray, and the base, are 8cm wide. The round trays are 2.2cm deep. Overall it's 13.5 x 8cm. Quite petite and ideal for trinkets, jewellery or smaller office bits and bobs.
Good used condition, a few external marks and signs of its age. Great for a collector who loves a curiosity - an unusual piece of Soviet design.
Free P&P to the UK.
