A vintage Norwegian hand-signed and hand-painted bowl. Not sure exactly who the design is by - see photos - it is signed '730/359E Norway'. Mid century 1960s/1970s in style, though it may be more recent as it's in great condition. Very much influenced other Scandi designs by Stavangerflint, Figgjo Flint, Arabia Finland, Rostrand etc., though maybe a bit more studio pottery. It was probably a tourist piece. The glazed handmade pottery dish has a white underglaze, with simple white flowers internally with sgraffito outline details. It has a roughly painted yellow background with green dots - all hand painted and unique. The clay and sgraffito outlines are terracotta coloured. Teardrop and scoop shaped, and shallow - 5.5cm high x 19.5 x 17cm. The perfect size for a grapes or keys bowl, but probably more ornamental and for display than as a practical dish. It's pretty and typically retro Norwegian with a lovely splash of colour. Excellent condition. One glaze imperfection with dots of missing glaze to the rim. Price includes P&P to the UK.
