A striking Murano art glass ashtray/bowl from the mid century 1960s/1970s era.  
The bowl has an inner darker blue rim stripe, or sommerso layer, and is cased in a vibrant cyan/turquoise glass. It has a wide curvy rim and is oval with one folded in end (would have been a fancy ashtray back in the day). Flat polished base. Mouth blown/handmade in Murano, Italy.
Very good condition. It has minimal signs of its age with a few small scratches to the outers. One noticeable bubble within the rim, see photos. I'd give it a 8.5/10 for condition - lovely on display. Base is flat with hardly any signs of age. It has a natural 'wobble' to the glass near the baseline.
A good sized 15 x 10 x 8cm, about 890g. Looks lovely on a window sill and on display. Fab splash of colour (it's more bright cyan than the photos show).
