A vintage green and amber Murano Mandruzzato multi-faceted art glass dish....
Made in Murano, Venice, Italy. Original design attributed to Mandruzzato or Campanella. It's hexagonal from above, with 18 flat polished cut faceted sides (6x3), with an hexagonal flat polished base. Each side is skillfully polished flat. Flat polished rim with a round opening. It's green internally (a large rounded well). The green inner has an amber floating colour layer (sommerso) and clear outer casing glass. Looks amazing in the sunshine and on display, like a diamond.
Circa 1960s to 1970s vintage. Hand made/hand finished - a beautifully and skillfully made quality piece. A decent sized 12 x 12 x 7cm tall. Around 850g - quite a statement piece of vintage Venetian glass.
Excellent original and unrestored condition with hardly any signs of age. All the points are chip-free - these chip so easily. Perfect statement for a coffee table and a great gift idea, a collector would love this example!
