A stunning and decent-sized Murano art glass ashtray/bowl from the mid century 1960s or so. It is a bright lime green colour, cased in clear.
Biomorphic or freeform in formation, a rounded off triangular shape with three folds in (would have been a fancy ashtray back in the day). The outer sides are lobed/pulled with clear glass. Mouth blown/handmade in Murano, Italy, I believe. Flat polished base with the correct signs of age. It doesn't have a uranium content.
Good condition with no chips. It has minimal signs of its age on the outer lobes and internally - I'd give it a 8.5/10 for condition.
A good sized chunky 17 x 17.5 x 7cm, weighs 920g. Looks lovely on a window sill and on display. A very interesting piece, fab splash of colour on display and nice example.
