A striking Murano (Italy) geode bowl from the 1960s/1970s or so... Thick glass in a triangular shape, rounding down to a round base. Flat polished geode rim, like it has been cut in half, with glass 1.5cm thick. Deep triangular inner well in royal blue, cased in a striking aqua turquoise blue. Handmade, mouth blown and vintage.
These bowls/ashtrays were made by several Murano manufacturers, including Archimede Seguso and Flavio Poli so it's impossible who to attribute the design to.
Nicely made, collectable and displayable example. Good condition, see photos. There's some very small signs of use and age - one teeny outer fleabite and one inner. Rim is good with one fine small scratch and some fine pitting. Flat polished base, with no real signs of its age and era. One outer small scratch. (All too small to notice). I'd give it a 8.5/10, a nice presentable, unrestored, vintage example in good condition.
A small to mid sized 9.3 x 9.3cm x 5cm.
