A hard to find vintage Midwinter Tango teapot...
Midwinter Tango was designed by Eve Midwinter for Midwinter in 1969 on the 'Fine' shape/series, I believe. A simple straight sided, cylindrical form. Tango was produced until about 1974 and is a hard to find range. The decor is a bold stylised flower power design of large flowers in orange, deep yellow and dusky lime green. It is a transfer print over the white glaze. The ceramic body is glazed white. It's so typical of its time!
Very good condition with some signs of age/use. The main body and lid are good - clean with no chips. It does have some crazing in places so I wouldn't advise using this - it's more a missing piece for a collection. Very displayable.
12cm tall pot, 14cm tall with lid on. Cylinder body is 11.5cm wide.
