A fab vintage piggy bank by Rye Pottery, East Sussex. Circa late 1960s to late 1970s.
She's a handmade moulded pottery piggy figurine. Hand decorated with dusky deep pink shapes and spots and patterns, with black spots, blue spots and a couple of yellow patches. Characterful eyes, curly tail and trotters have also been painted on. There's a large rounded slot to the top and a feature round open snout. It is empty and cannot be opened (probably unused). She's stamped to the base with a logo which identifies it as probably being by Walter Cole and 1969-1978.
Very good condition with no chips or crazing. 13.5cm long x 8cm tall x 6.5cm deep. Suited to an adult collector, or for a kids room out of reach.
