A boxed 1969 early version of the iconic Galt 'Connect' - a domino-like game for all kids (big kids too!). Designed by Ken Garland and Associates, this is one of the older original versions. The instruction leaflet is dated from 1969, from when I believe the game was invented. Ken Garland is known for his iconic Graphic Design work, of which this is an early example - loved and collected by many!
The original leaflet states "Connect is a competitive game for any number from 2 to 10 players. No board is required: it can be played on the floor or on a fairly large table." There are 140 square printed stout cards in the game (two are missing). Age 5+. James Galt & Co Ltd, Cheadle, Cheshire. Made in England.
Box is 31cm x 23.5cm x 3cm. It contains 138 of 140 cards (two missing). The original blue plastic inner tray is good. The cards are clean and good used condition - the lines you need to connect to are red, blue and black. The instructions are complete with no tears. The original box is aged and a bit tatty. Please see all photos for condition too.
A nice playable true-vintage version of this collectable Ken Garland puzzle game. It's harder to Connect than it looks!
