A great retro art glass vase... Commonly known as a 'Dalek' vase due to the funky geometric bobble/hobnail pattern. Made in Japan, most likely by Tajima Glass. It's a vibrant cobalt or royal blue, lighter towards the top, internally it's cased with white opal glass, similar to cased Empoli pressed glass. Circa 1970s vintage - so typical of the time.
A round cylinder shaped vase with straight edges. Pressed glass - the 3D pattern is rows of aligned round matching bobbles. A bit retro funky kitsch mixed with Brutalist/op art in style.
Very good condition with some weird cloudiness to the rim line where the white meets the blue, otherwise excellent. 20.5cm tall x 6cm wide. Perfect for blue retro home decor, a fab pop of colour. Would hold a dozen stems if used as a vase.
