A 1970s/1980s boxed nutcracker from Italy. Made of cast chromed steel/metal, they're heavy and solid and weighty. Unknown Italian maker but the Schiaccianoci Lusso on the box translates to 'luxury nutcrackers' and the small print 'registered model and trademark' and they're model no '53'. They're stamped 'Italy' within.
A longer 18.5cm long x 4.5cm x 1.3cm, and in a traditional shape. Will press a nut up to about 4.5cm using its inner steel stepped grippers/pressers. Very good condition for the age and era. A lovely bright silvery colour. A shiny and traditional addition to any kitchen/bar area, especially over Christmas.
