A pretty vintage pottery curved dish or bowl, by Dennis Edward Lucas, from Hastings Pottery. He worked at the pottery from 1956 to 1995, but this is likely to be late 1960s or early 1970s era. It has the distinctive incised double fish logo to the reverse for Hastings Pottery, which was used from 1963 to 1995. Deep red smooth clay base, with glossy glazes to the uppers.
Pointy and oval curvy dish or shallow ornamental bowl, handmade. Predominantly sea colours - glossy blue/green duck-egg tones, with sky blue, with incised stripes to the edges. The under side is glazed white.
Very good condition, no chips. A small and nice sized leaf shape 20.5cm long x 11.5cm wide x 4cm tallest. Perfect for display and for a collection, looks to be unused internally. Also ideal for elegantly serving nuts/nibbles.
