A hard to find vintage Daum crystal 'icicle' ashtray....
Scandinavian-style art glass (clear bright lead crystal) from France. It's a smart Modernist cylindrical shape with icicle or cracked ice textured base. Hand signed to the base, circa late 1960s or 1970s vintage. Flat softened rim with single indent for a cigarette. Perfect shape and size for a tealight candle holder.
Excellent displayable condition with just a few teeny invisible surface marks. There's one natural flaw along the outer rim, like a discolouration, from time of manufacture (second photo). 5.9cm tall x 8.4cm wide, 615 grams.
It's a simple stylish piece, that fits with a Modern interior as well as a vintage-inspired home.
