A hard to find small mid-century Daum crystal ashtray... Citrine coloured art glass (lead crystal) from France. Hand signed 'Daum France' to the side and circa 1950s to 1960s vintage. It's a smooth and tactile simple rounded rectangular shape with rounded edges. Softened rim with single indent for a cigarette, the corners have a subtle pointy detail. Being small and rounded it's best suited today as an ornamental coloured glass bowl or ring dish. The 'Citrine' yellow is a pale straw yellow, a very pale yellow. 
Very good displayable condition with a few invisible tiny surface marks. It doesn't look to have been used internally, but has been on display - the flat polished base shows signs of its 1950s era. 7.5cm wide x 6.7cm wide x 3.5cm tall, rounded inside.
It's a small and classy modernist piece that fits with any vintage interior as well as an art glass collection.
