An original vintage lantern candle holder, designed by Frank Thrower and hand made for Dartington, Devon, England.
The two piece design originated in 1985 and is FT382, with the 'Ripple' shade. It's 24% lead crystal, designed to hold a tealight/nightlight candle on the chunky lower half, protected by the removable glass globe shade (or you could use it without). The lower half is chunky, Modernist and simple with straight lines, contrasting with the delicate rippled glass dome. These came with plain or ripple shades, and the shades often got broken.
190mm high by 120mm wide (total). Excellent condition, no chips. Both pieces maintain original gold stickers.
Free P&P to the UK.
