A fantastic Czech Bohemian faceted glass ashtray, in an Art Deco Moser style or mid century modern Murano Mandruzzato style. Czechoslovakian, with an unknown maker, most likely 1950s to 1960s mid century vintage. It's a long striking asymmetric triangular shape with rounded corners, three corner channels for a cigar or cigarette, and an inner well. The rim is flat and polished. There's six triangular cut polished faces (facets), going down to a triangular flat polished base. Each side is polished flat and it reflects the light in an amazing prism/diamond way. It's a citrine colour glass - a sharp pale citrus yellow, most likely with a crystal content. It's mouth blown and hand made/hand finished - a beautifully and skillfully made quality piece. Looks amazing in the sunshine and on display, the photos don't do it justice (taken in winter light). It's 3.9cm high x 10cm widest x 18cm long (a good longer size). Weighs 580g. Excellent example with no obvious flaws. Two of the tiniest dot fleabites, too tiny to see. Overall - excellent for age and era. Perfect gift idea, and a collector would love this! Includes P&P to the UK.
