A set of super neutral-toned vintage Broadstairs Pottery candlesticks...
Circa 1970s or so - the pottery ran from 1968 to 1983. Broadstairs Pottery was David James White and Mary Dening, I believe, with some pieces by Dianne Sanders too. They are stamped to the bases. Typical of the 70s Studio Pottery era, and much like works from Tremain and Louis Hudson.
They're all handmade solid wheel thrown stoneware/pottery shapes, all deliberately different. They vary in heights and shapes with different ridges and horizontal stripes. All predominantly stoney cream/taupe colours with darker brown speckles. Each has a cup/holder to the top for a standard tapered dinner candle (just over 2cm wide). They vary between 10.7 and 11.7cm tall x 6cm wide.
All very good condition with no chips, see pics. Some rustic imperfections and scrapes from manufacture.
