A mid to late 1980s hard to find and highly collectable kettle by Carsten Joergensen (Denmark) for Bodum (Denmark/Switzerland). It's known as the 'Ottoni' stove-top tea kettle.
High quality designer item with distinctive straight-sided polished steel body and triangular spout. It's trimmed with faux rivets and the lid has a blue lucite ball topper. The stainless steel is 18/10 grade Inox (likely made in Italy). The bent-wood handle is probably teak; the handle folds flat. The base is suited to a stove top - see pictures.
Very good lightly used condition, with great reflective quality stainless steel/inox. Hardly any surface marks, no dinks, and the handle is very good with just a little wear. The brass or gold coloured metal has natural ageing. Very clean inside with no staining or scale. Please see all photos for condition (it's very hard to photograph due to being highly reflective!). A nice example, more for display than for use. (May not be suited to all hob types if used).
19cm widest at the base. 17cm wide body. 11.3cm tall - excluding handle. 23cm tallest with handle up.
