A decent-sized hand painted purple Arthur Wood (England) pottery piggy bank. I believe this little fellow is 1960s/1970s vintage, and very much using those hippy retro colourings. He's model no 5272, hand signed to the base. 
Pottery/ceramic shaped pig with original plastic stopper and large coin slot. Deep plum purple colour with hand painted patterns in red, orange and white. 22cm long x 12cm tall x 8.5cm wide. 
Excellent collectable example, in a great colour way - perfect for a retro home. There's some wear to the original stopper plastic internally. More for display for a grown-up, than for a child's toy - although it would look fab out of reach in a nursery.
