A beautiful vintage post-modernist brooch. It is fully hallmarked to the reverse with a maker's name 'ADV' then the anchor and lion for Birmingham Sterling 925 silver, then a 'y' for 1998. It's in a modern and retro 1980s/1990s style - the leaf is half shiny, with incised fine patterns, wirework, balls - abstract but life size. Handmade by ADV, Birmingham.
Very good condition. Roll-over pin works well. A nice size yet still simple, slimline and noticeable: 60 x 26mm. Weighs 9g.
