A beautiful vintage Brutalist style pendant, dating from 1978. The pendant has a petite oval green coloured polished stone in a simple silver 4-claw mount - I presume it is an agate or very similar semi-precious stone (I'm no expert). Simple eye-shaped mounting within a cluster of flat silver triangular and irregular textured shapes. The textures are fine linear rows of dots. The silver shapes are randomly turned up and down and it's all unpredictable with openwork - in the Brutalist style. Pendant is petite: the oval stone is just 7mm long. The pendant is 35 x 20mm. It's fully hallmarked to the back with 'PP' (the maker's name) then a rose and lion (for Sheffield, Sterling 925 silver) and an ornate 'D' for 1978. It's on a replacement 16" 925 fine silver chain - so it sits perfectly up in an open collar-line. It weighs 5g total. All in excellent condition. The pendant is a nice wearable size, stylish and classy, perfect for any outfit. Perfect gift idea for someone born in 1978. P&P included to the UK. Simple presentation box included.
