Six flat bark textured panels with a central curved polished panel, ideal for engraving/personalisation if required, all hinged together so it moves. A smart straight 8mm wide and 18.5 to 19cm long, depending on where you fasten. The fastening panel is a contrasting bark texture.
The clasp hallmark reads 'AL' [the maker] 'Stg. silver 925' [sterling silver 925 grade] then a London import mark, '.925' and the italic letter 't' denoting 1974. The import mark suggests it was made in Europe, like Scandinavia or Italy. AL is probably the London importer. It is further marked with '0925' to the back. A good weighty 27 grams of solid silver.
Dating from the early 70s, it mixes the retro, Mid Century Scandinavian and Modernist and Brutalist styles. Looks beautiful on. Great condition and the clasp works well. Very presentable, wearable and a perfect gift idea.
