A cute 1970s Studio Pottery piggy bank figurine...
He's by Surrey Ceramics and I believe this little fellow is 1970s vintage. He has a raised pattern of teardrop or oval shapes, with outlines and dots, in an Indian or Paisley style. The top part is a rich glossy earthy dripping brown, over a neutral beige glaze. He has a smiling face and a curly tail too.
Pottery hollow pig shape with a pale clay base. He has a slot to his back for money - with no means of opening him - and he's empty, suggesting very little use. He's stamped to the base with 'Surrey Ceramics England'.
8.5cm tall x 12.5cm long x 8cm deep. Very good condition. More for display for a grown-up than for a child's toy - although it would look great out of reach in a nursery! Perfect for a retro home.
Includes P&P to the UK.
