A sitting proud 1970s studio pottery cat figurine, by Poole Pottery, from the 1970s. 
These Siamese-style cat figurines are beautiful and vary with glaze, size and left or right facing (like book ends). This fellow is the right hand one and is in the classic dusky blue/grey glaze. It's like a dark dusky petrol blue colour. The glaze is smooth and glossy and fluid. He has black features/details and is stamped to the base with the logo. The clay is a white fine clay like a porcelain. He would have been hand moulded then hand decorated. I believe the range was designed by Barbara Linley-Adams and dates from 1970-1983.
16.5 x 9.5 x 6cm. Very nice collectable condition with no chips - please see photos. 
I just love the look on his face - he's intriguing and curious!
