A beautiful vintage pottery/ceramic piggy figurine...
I've not been able to identify the maker, but most likely West German - he's simply marked 'Foreign' to the base. I believe this little fellow is 1970s to 1980s vintage, and he is simply decorated in a jade or teal coloured glaze.
Pottery/ceramic shaped pig with smiling face and coiled tail. Pale clay base. He has a metal opening mechanism to the base and is currently locked shut with no key. There are no coins within, suggesting very little use.
10cm tall x 11cm long x 9cm deep. Very good condition. More for display for a grown-up than for a child's toy - although it would look great out of reach in a nursery! Perfect for a retro home.
The photos are quite dull, but he's a lovely vivid jade or teal (bluey green) colour.
Includes P&P to the UK.

Vintage 1970s piggy bank. Retro ceramic/pottery, most likely West German. Jade
