A pretty 1950s/1960s curved bowl, most likely by Fratelli Fanciullacci, Italy. Pottery/ceramic with a white textured base glaze, beautifully hand-painted internally with a stylised red poppy and a blue flower bud, along with grassy strands in greens and gold gilding/leaf. Highlighted with gold around the rim. Signed on the base '4759/40 Italy'.
Excellent condition with just a little wear to the gold. 19.5cm long, one end is higher and narrower at 7cm tall, 9cm deep at the widest point. Perfect for display or as a mid-century gift - it's beautifully done!
