An original boxed set of six Viners Sable 'coffee spoons', ref L484/300. Vintage 1960s/1970s modernist design. They're a smaller 10cm coffee spoon, ideal for cappuccinos, espressos, filter coffees - as well as teas. Designed by Gerald Benny, Des, RCA in the 1960's for Viners, Sheffield, England. The silver/goldsmith was influenced by Scandinavian minimalism, as you can tell from the simple retro design. The spoons have a Modernist lightly textured linear pattern on the handles. Original retro packaging with high quality 18/8 Sheffield stainless steel tableware. Probably unused, and would probably have been a wedding gift in the 1960s and kept 'for best'. Great condition spoons with a great shine. Stamped to the backs 'Viners of Sheffield, England, Stainless Steel'. Box is used but very good for age - red outer box has fab retro graphics, black flocked velvet plastic moulded inner with gold 'plaque'. See photos. Includes P&P to the UK.
