A super and rare fish shaped long pottery dish, by Denby, England. Circa 1970s vintage...
I've not been able to find another one of these online, please let me know if you have any more details - I imagine they only made a few. It's a 40cm long hand decorated dish or shallow bowl in shades of beige with subtle peach, duck egg and red abstract round scales, with earthy 'bubble' glaze outlines (fat lava style and typical of the 70s era). Perfectly suited to serving olives and nuts as well as displaying beautifully as a statement dish. An earthenware type heavy pottery.
A large and long 40cm x 8.2cm widest x 4cm high. Very good condition, see photos.
