A striking pair of unusual signed art glass bowls, by Sea Glasbruk, Sweden. Most likely 1960s mid century vintage.
The basket-form bowl (left) has a slight scalloped edge, two curved pulls to form a handle, and is cobalt blue with a white opaque enamel stripe within the clear glass. It's signed 'SEA 7175'. 10.5cm wide x 11.5cm tall x 11cm deep.
The teardrop or water-drop form (right) has a vertical pull upwards, wide around the middle with a small inner well with front indent. The same matching blue with white stripe, it is signed 'SEA 7180'. 15.5cm tall x 10cm wide x 8cm deep.
They were from the same era and series, and are very hard to find. Sea Glasbruk is now part of the Orrefors Kosta Boda family. The design is very close to dishes by Flygsfors from the same country and era.
Both excellent condition of the age, with no chips. Perfect for a collector of Scandinavian mid century glass.
Free P&P to the UK. Price is for both.
