A pair of chunky yet elegant 'heather' larger sized wine or beer glasses, designed for the Canisbay range by Colin Terris in the 1960s/1970s for Caithness, Scotland. He was heavily influenced by Scandinavian design, and this series colouring is influenced by the Scottish landscape - this colour is Heather, it's a rich dusky plum purple. Design was produced until mid 1980s, so likely to be 1970s era. (The design was awarded a Design Council accreditation shortly after its introduction). Model no 4026/GO (goblet) or 4026/WI (wine), or maybe 4060/GO - a larger fatter sized 'goblet' or beer glass with a shorter stem. Solid clear glass base. Very good collectable, useable and displayable examples. A few small surface scratches. 12.5cm tall, 7cm wide at the rim and body flaring out to 9cm wide. A larger '1 cup' or 10fl oz capacity (slightly less than 1/2 pint). P&P to the UK included.
