A large and striking art glass vase, by Tamara Aladin for Riihimaki (Riihimaen Lasi) Glass Works, Finland. It was designed in 1972 and produced for a short time until 1975. 
The chunky clear octagonal vase has three concentric circles, rings (Rengas), to each face. It is cylindrical inside and pattern number 5682. Mouth blown in to a mould and made in Finland in the 70s.
20cm tall x 10cm wide at rim. Excellent condition with no noticeable flaws, clean with no water marks. Some natural moulding lines and some natural age to the narrower base. Heavy at 1.8kg. A good sized statement piece of Scandi mid century art glass. Stunning!
