A stunning and petite vintage art glass vase designed by either Asta or Gerda Strömberg for Strombergshyttan, Sweden. It's model number H95 and is just 3" tall. It's a lush chocolate brown, cased in clear.
The design dates from the late 1950s and was made until about the early 1970s. Thick glass with feature straight cut angled rim; the brown is a very thin layer internally. Flat polished base, hand signed. A small pot or vase: 7.5cm x 6.7cm widest and it weighs 400g. It's tactile and beautifully formed - handmade and mouth blown.
Very good condition, displays well and would look great in a collection. It has some small internal bubbles and a small 5mm scratch. No chips or nibbles. Please see all photos.
