An East German (GDR) art pottery vase by Strehla VEB. From the mid century fat lava era (1960s/1970s), model number 1201.
The vase is glazed satin black with glossy teal coloured leaves and a white bubbly background - probably used a latex/wax resist type manufacturing technique. Stamped on base with 'Foreign1, along with the model number. All smooth with mixed gloss and satin surfaces.
A nice sized 21cm high x 11.5cm wide. Excellent vintage condition with no chips or nibbles or anything. Good clean print and a striking black.
Perfect for a mid century modern and black and white interior.
Price includes P&P via Royal Mail.
