A set of four boxed glass small glasses, ideal for shots or schnapps or smaller spirits... The design for Arabia (Wartsila, Finland) was by Olavi Tamminen. These are circa 1977-78 vintage, when the Arabia trademark was also used by Nuutajärven Lasi (Nuutajärvi Glass). The original box has the Nuutajärven branding and the glasses have Arabia stickers. The design is Elegia and this stylish modernist range won the Finnish Glass Design and Product Idea Competition 1978.
Mouth blown and handmade using a mould, high quality glasses with fine thin rims and chunky wide stems and small feet. Each maintains its original 'Arabia Finland' blue stickers and they look to be unused.
Roughly 81mm tall x 43mm wide rim. Small capacity - a single large 40ml shot of the stronger stuff. They are in great condition for the age, the box shows some age. The bases have some rough edges from being finished.
