A striking red stripe curvy ceramic planter by Scheurich, West Germany. Dating from the 'fat lava' 1960s/1970s era, this has a single undulating red stripe, with paler brown surround/halo, and glossy brown uppers and lowers. I believe the glaze is called Fabiola. Flat and smooth liquid bleeding glazes over a simple shape - typically Scheurich. This smaller sized indoor planter is slighter ribbed, and model number 807/12. Mid Century Modern and retro in styling - perfect for your teak sideboard.
10.5cm tall x 12.5cm outer rim, 9.5cm tall inside so suited to a pot plant with a smaller tub. Stamped to the base.
Very good condition with no chips. A couple of small scratches but overall, in very nice displayable and collectable condition. An ideal size for a cactus/succulent or smaller spider plant etc.
